A few decades ago, studies on Al-Andalus were often subject to approaches weighed down by subjective biases. Today, we seek to adopt a scientific perspective that regards this past as a school of experiences, a source of inspiration, and a subject for reflection toward a promising future. This approach aims to shed new light on the shared civilizational heritage of Al-Andalus, opening a field of thought and questioning that can reveal new horizons for sustainable and resilient development. The experience of Al-Andalus has bound together the destinies of three countries — Morocco, Spain, and Portugal — a shared history, a collective memory, and a tripartite heritage.
